thanks so much for that explanation.
hadn't appreciated this aspect of object at all.

does this mean that without script there is no way to click on an  
object to change the address of the container document?
try the chair in http://www.peepo.com
probably as you expect it changes the content of the object area only.

however please also test on the graphic in this email signature,  
which instead launches a new application.

one interesting to me at least benefit, is that those with svg get  
sent to a different uri to those without...
not sure that's a benefit, but...
