Re: SVGT1.2: The <style> element

You cannot find it in SVGT 1.2, because
non optional styling in SVGT 1.2 is only available
with presentation attributes and not with
properties noted in the CSS way.
You can use the XML styling processing
instruction to include style sheets, but this is
optional vor SVGT 1.2, see

6.2 Usage scenarios for styling
http://www.w3.org/Graphics/SVG/Group/repository/spec/mobile/1.2/1.2NG/publish/styling.html#StylingScenarios

This was not available in SVGT 1.1 too,
therefore not a big change, I think this is
related to the limited capacities of mobile
devices. I don't know, if there is a specific
discussion about this for SVGT 1.2.
And as in (X)HTML too, it is a much better
'styling style' to use external author
stylesheets anyway ;o)

What I'm missing in the tiny profiles is
the class attribute. As in (X)HTML this
is pretty useful to add some semantic
hints, if no specific element with the
related semantic meaning is available.
But this is just a little bit related and
maybe this one was removed, because
many people think, the class attribute is
closely related to styling and not to
semantics.
