we have altered it to say:

  User-initiated actions such as a key-press can cause animations to
  start or stop, scripts to execute or listeners elements to trigger
  handler elements.

This avoids giving the impression that animations execute. Please let us
know in the next 2 weeks if that does not resolve your comment.
