Hello, I was thinking of a spline controlled gradient as an expansion for the SVG 1.2 specification. (With spline, I'm referring to the 4-number curve definition). Similar to the spline parameter in animation nodes, an optional spline parameter attribute in a stop definition node in a gradient (linear or radial) would control the color transformation between to stop colors in the gradient. I believe this could be a useful extension for common linear color transformations, while not making the SVG specification complicated or letting it tend to feature overload. I'm not representative for any (demanding) group or company, this is just a humble suggestion. Keep up the good work! Joris Gillis P.S.
