Alright Chris, I should have been expecting this. Right... how about
making the relationship between baseVal and DOM Core value more
obvious? I guess the main point in having baseVal was to have a
datatype rather than a plain DOMString as in DOM Core...

The base value of the given attribute regardless of any applied
animations.
