SVG 1.1/1.2/2.0 and the Infoset

With the increasing focus on the infoset in many XML-based W3C specifications 
is it possible to comment now on the likely effects, if any, of the infoset 
on SVG 1.1/1.2/2.0? I noticed the term infoset is not used in the 1.1/1.2/2.0 
Requirments WD.

Will the SVG user / scripter simply see the DOM (presumably Level 3 in due 
course) or will a knowledge of the infoset ... and even the PSVI ... be 
required?
