<a> and <g>

The DTD allows <a> to contain most of the children of <g>. The notable
exceptions are animation-related elements and the various <defs> children
which can now appear directly in <g>. This differs from the 3 Dec spec
which only excluded the animation-related elements. Is the current DTD
correct? Or should the <defs> children be allowed in the <a>?
