I have saved a lot of precious storage by replacing gifs with css elements
on my site. Having a drop shadow would help a great deal. Right now I have
to use a gif for my cover title. Its smaller than I would like---to keep the
file size down. With drop shadow I could make it larger and reduce the storage.
The blur factor is needed to do the customary gaussian blur.
BTW on a related issue. I realize this is a UA and OS issue, but there is a
noticeable difference between css text and anti-aliased text in graphics.
Could the author have a way to specify anti-aliased text or a quality
factor? Word Perfect has a factor like this.
