RE: LINK'ed style sheets

W3C should promote standards, not hacks.

As for alternatives, I see two:

  1) Use PI's
  2) Use a single *empty* STYLE tag, and put the style information
     into attributes.

Both of these could also be put into the "hack" category, but are
preferrable to the current methods.

BTW. This is one reason that long ago, many people objected to the
<STYLE> tag. Again, good advice was ignored.
