Re: Invitation for CSS WG to jointly meet TTWG at TPAC 2017

Just sending a reminder, since I got no responses to my previous email in this thread at https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-style/2017Aug/0012.html

I'm not sure what the state of planning is in CSS WG for TPAC, but in the absence of any other guidance I have scheduled time in the TTWG's agenda for a joint meeting on the Friday morning. The TTWG's draft agenda can be found at https://www.w3.org/wiki/TimedText/tpac2017#Schedule

In the meantime, a quick update that CSS semantics are being added to TTML2 where the semantic basis for style attributes are currently only XSL – the umbrella issue for this is https://github.com/w3c/ttml2/issues/406 which links on to an issue for each individual style attribute, which includes the proposed mappings to CSS; any feedback on those proposals would be much appreciated.

Summary of actions for interested people:

1. Feed back any timing constraints on joint meeting times to me please.
2. Review the proposed CSS equivalent mappings for TTML2 style attributes defined only in terms of XSL-FO right now.

Kind regards,

Nigel
