Thank you for confirming. I have filed a tracking bug https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=426644 to consider deprecating this while we don't see too much instances of sites using this (in our investigation 50 out of 600000 sites).

I would appreciate further suggestions if it's worth filing same bug in WebKit.
