clip-path: basic shapes and borders

Hi!

In my current experiments with clip-path using basic shapes in CSS (not
SVG), borders and outlines are also cut off, as mentioned here:
http://www.w3.org/TR/css-masking-1/#clipping-paths
Would there be any way to maintain a border on an element that is clipped,
or set a border on a clipped element?
