FWIW, and a bit off-topic, I have a working patch for WebKit that implements this and it's currently under review in https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117787 . I was planning to port it over to Blink as well, so it might be worth considering before we duplicate efforts. Claudio
