Hi, The working group resolved on 2012-08-15 to add scientific notation for numbers: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-style/2012Aug/0900.html One detail visible in the minutes and not the summary is that this only applies to <number>, not <integer>. (Which I agree is saner.) Therefore, §3.3.19. Sci-notation state should start with `Set the number token's type flag to "number".`, just like §3.3.17. Number-fraction state does. -- Simon Sapin
