Hi,

On platforms with pointing devices, native media players typically hide
the cursor when media is playing. The user may make the cursor visible
again simply by moving their mouse.

We'd like to propose a new 'cursor' value, 'auto-hide', which will allow
page authors to match this native behavior when building applications
with the HTML <video> or <canvas> elements, and other video-like Web
content.

I've added this request to the relevant CSS WG wiki page:

                   http://wiki.csswg.org/spec/css4-ui

Thanks,
Ted

P.S., the relevant WebKit work is being tracked in this bug:
