This appendix has various significant issues. Each of the issues raised in the messages referenced below still exists in the Working Draft. (zindex.html has had no textual change since the most recent published Editors' draft, and only a minor clarification since the previous public version.) http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-style/2010Nov/0069.html raises issues concerning what the set of descendents of an element are and what their order is. http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-style/2010Nov/0083.html and its thread concern double handling and resultant contradictions. pjrm.
