Didn't we have already something like alpha() / numeric() in the GCPM module, both in the @counter-style and symbols() list type? ( http://dev.w3.org/csswg/css3-gcpm/#named0 ) Extend it to allow Unicode ranges and you'll solve a lot of problems. Giovanni
