Issue with computed height in Paged Media

Hello,

The Paged Media spec (CSS 2.1 and CSS3) does not address the scenario where a fixed height element contains a forced page break (i.e. child element with a page-break-* property set to always).

See the attached file.

IE7 and IE8 - show blankspace after break and then continue the element on the next page. Combined height is same as fixed height
Firefox - entire element on first page. No background on 2nd page
Opera - Shows background on both pages (element height is much larger)


We'd like to raise this issue and get a clarification for CSS3 if not CSS 2.1
