end of sentence spaces

Hi,

I have been lurking this group for a couple of years now, and I find the conversations most interesting and thought provoking.
I have recently seen a post in a news-group regarding "end of sentence spaces".
I remember quite some time ago someone asked a similar question to this list, and the conversation brought up lots of "Why you should...", "Why you shouldn’t...", "How best to apply...", "What the standard is...", "What the standard was...", etc. topics.
My question is... How would I best look for this discussion in historical archives?
If anyone has any URLs or further information regarding this topic "end of sentence spaces", I would appreciate some information.

What am I talking about?

Example...

This is a sentence. This is another sentence in the same paragraph.
...As opposed to...
This is a sentence. This is another sentence in the same paragraph.

(not the two spaces in between the two sentences)

Thanks
Ronny Krite
