It's funny how often the request for styling a "word" comes up here, and
how often the CJK bogeyman is subsequently invoked to dismiss it.  Maybe
we could for once finally dispense with the bogeyman (in a friendly sort
of way): "if you don't have whitespace 'word' delimiters, just ignore
that rule"?
