I'm the dreaded Newbie!

Hi:

Am new to this list and CSS, just have a question regarding it's application 
capabilities.

If I have mouseover buttons using javascript, can I place all the coding for 
the graphic and the mouseover javascript in the CSS document, rather than on 
the page itself, and still have it work?
