Media Design in*Progress today officially released Cascade Light, a FREE
Cascading Style Sheets designer for Macintosh. Cascade Light is a
feature-reduced edition of Cascade, the comprehensive Cascading Style
Sheets editor. Cascade Light can be downloaded from:

  <http://interaction.in-progress.com/cascade>

Cascade Light provides dialogs on the Mac to define most style settings
that can be expressed in CSS. The style sheets can be saved to file in
standard CSS format or be automatically added to the HTML pages of a
website. Cascade can even automatically emulate a Cascading Style Sheet for
older browsers that don't support CSS. Thus web designers can employ and
benefit from Cascading Style Sheets today and still maintain the design for
older browsers.

The 1.1 version of Cascade is released concurrently with Cascade Light.
Cascade can now be extended with plug-in components, and has a revised user
interface. Several optional components for Cascade are under development,
such as support for CSS Printing Extensions, and productivity features for
automated application of style to multiple documents or complete websites.

The professional edition of Cascade cost $69. It is optimized for Mac PPC,
and can open and edit previously designed style sheets, included those
created with Cascade Light. Cascade 1.0 owners get complementary upgrades
to Cascade 1.1.
