New SMIL Book

I'm pleased to announce that
SMIL: Adding Multimedia to the Web by Mary Slowinski and Tim Kennedy
was published by Sams Publishing in December 2001.

The book covers both SMIL 1.0 and 2.0 and includes tutorials in 
RealONE and IE6.

I wanted to take a moment to thank all of you who have been helpful 
to me over the last few years. I regret to say that for the last year 
I haven't been involved in JustSMIL.com any more. Those were warmer 
days. But I hope the book will help continue to spread the word on 
SMIL. And if I can carve off some time, I hope to roll out a new SMIL 
news and reviews site in the future. That was a lot of fun.

I know quite a few of you on this list are well beyond needing a SMIL 
book. At least two of you are writing your own. But if you're 
curious, basic info about the book is posted at 
http://www.smilbook.com

Oh, and if you have any corrections, please let me know ASAP so I can 
try to get them into the 2nd printing.
