The RealPlayer G2 parses SMIL files and will play the following mediatypes:
- RealAudio, RealVideo, RealFlash, RealPix and RealText
- avi, wav, aiff, au, asf, viv

All the authoring information for SMIL and the G2 medatypes is at:
http://www.real.com/technology/smil/

There are a lot of clips to view on: http://www.real.com/showcase/index.html

RealNetworks has developed a SMIL wizard available on our tools pages and a
number of companies are developing tools such as Allaire, Sausage Software,
Veon and others - information is available at http://www.justsmil.com

Dear all,

I am just getting started with the SMIL language but, until now, I have not
been able to see SMIL documents playing. Does anyone know where I can find
an application to view the code running? Is there any application for
authoring SMIL pages?

I have built SMIL code but without a viewer is hard to test its appearance.
By the way, I have RealPlayer G2, but it plays Real extensions only.

Thanks a lot for your help,
