ISWC 2008 is the 7th International Semantic Web Conference. The
purpose of this conference is to promote research and applications
of Semantic Web theories, technologies and practices. ISWC 2008 has
the following programs: research track, semantic web in use track,
poster and demo program, doctoral consortium, semantic web challenge,
tutorials, and collocated workshops.
ISWC 2008 solicits the submission of original, principled papers
dealing with both theoretical and practical aspects of Semantic Web.
Papers of the latter type are encouraged to present repeatability of
their experiments, and share with the community their data and test
harnesses. Topics include, but are not limited to, the following.
* Applications of the Semantic Web
- Applications with clear lessons learned or evaluations
- Semantic Web for large scale applications,
- Semantic Web desktops or personal information management
- Semantic Web for multimedia and situational awareness
- Semantic Web for P2P, services, grids and middleware
* Management of Semantic Web Data

- Languages for representing Semantic Web data

- Cleaning, assurance, provenance of Semantic Web data

- Ontology modeling, reuse, extraction, search and evolution
- Ontology mapping, merging, and alignment
- Ontology evaluation and ranking
* Social Semantic Web
- Social networks and processes on the Semantic Web
- Semantic Web technology for collaboration and cooperation
- Representing and reasoning about trust, privacy, and security
* User Interfaces
- Visualization of and interacting with Semantic Web data
