Indeed, work on OWL-S can be found both in industry and academia, and papers on or using OWL-S are presented in virtually all conferences on the Web, Semantic Web and Web services. This workshop aims at providing a place where practitioners can exchange their experiences with OWL-S. Furthermore, the workshop will provide a forum in which to discuss the further evolution of OWL-S in such a way that users and communities with specific interests can take charge in proposing changes to the ontology that they believe will be helpful.

Specific attention will be given to papers identifying aspects of Web services cannot be modeled with OWL-S, with particular regard to the interaction with SAWSDL, and on ways to extend the language to address these needs. Papers on comparison and cross-fertilization with other approaches such as WSMO will also be welcome.
