7th International Conference on Information Systems Technology and its Applications

ISTA 2008 aims at bringing together practitioners, researchers, users, and information providers involved in commercial or industrial information systems to exchange ideas, present their recent research and discuss future collaboration. We invite submission of papers focusing on technology for subjects like the following ones:

·                                 the information systems life cycle,

·                                 mobile, pervasive, and ubiquitous information systems,

·                                 components, COTS, and services,

·                                 semantic Web and knowledge intensive systems,

·                                 ontologies,

·                                 e-learning,

·                                 homeland security, and

·                                 natural language processing.

All submitted papers will be peer-reviewed according to their relevance, significance, correctness, originality, and clarity. Submissions must represent novel contributions that neither have been published nor are submitted or under review for publication elsewhere. The proceedings will be published with Springer's Lecture Notes in Business Information Processing (LNBIP).

Authors of accepted papers are invited to publish a further paper, free of charge, in a special issue of the Herald of the NTU "KhPI", i.e., the scientific journal of the National Technical University “KhPI”. Publications in this journal are accepted by Ukrainian Higher Attestation Commission. The formatting guidelines at http://users.kpi.kharkov.ua/vestnik/author.html have to be observed respectively.

Furthermore, a workshop will be organized that enables authors of rejected conference papers to present their work anyway. A number of revised workshop papers will be published in the special issue of the Herald of the NTU "KhPI". Online registration for the workshop as well as paper submission via the conference administration system is required.

Note: Please note that the submission of the abstract is not necessary so if you did not submit it, you still have until Nov. 1 to submit the whole paper.
