CALL FOR PAPERS

JOINT CONFERENCE ON KNOWLEDGE-BASED
SOFTWARE ENGINEERING 2006 (JCKBSE'2006)

 August 28-31, 2006
 Tallinn, Estonia
     http://www.ioc.ee/jckbse06

The Joint Conference on Knowledge-Based Software Engineering brings together
researchers and practitioners to share ideas on the foundations, techniques,
tools, and applications of knowledge-based software engineering theory and
practice. We invite contributions that address theoretical foundations,
practical techniques, software tools, applications and/or experience reports in
knowledge-based software engineering.

This is the seventh JCKBSE held biennially and steered by the following
international committee:
Christo Dichev, Winston-Salem State University, USA
Pavol Navrat, Slovak University of Technology, Slovakia
Vadim L. Stefanuk, IITP, Russian Academy of Sciences, Russia
Shuichiro Yamamoto, NTT Data, Japan
Seiichi Komiya, Shibaura Institute of Technology, Japan
Ivan Rozman, University of Maribor, Slovenia

JCKBSE'2006 encourages contributions describing basic research, novel
applications, and experience reports relevant to knowledge-based software
engineering activities. Solicited topics include, but are not limited to:

* Knowledge technologies for semantic web
* Ontology engineering
* Ontologies and patterns in UML modeling
* Knowledge technologies for web services
* Architecture of knowledge-based systems, including intelligent agents and
softbots
* Knowledge-based requirements engineering, domain analysis and modeling
* Knowledge engineering for process management and project management
* Intelligent user interfaces and human-machine interaction
* Methodology and tools for knowledge discovery and data mining
* Automating software design and synthesis
* Knowledge-based methods and tools for testing, verification and
validation, maintenance and evolution
* Decision support methods for software engineering
* Knowledge management for business processes, workflows and enterprise
modeling
* Program understanding, programming knowledge, modeling programs and
programmers
* Knowledge-based methods and tools for software engineering education
* Knowledge-based methods for software metrics.

Program co-chairs:
Enn Tyugu (tyugu@ieee.org), Tallinn University of Technology, Estonia
Takahira Yamaguchi (yamaguti@ae.keio.ac.jp), Keio University, Japan

Local chair:
Vahur Kotkas (vahur@cs.ioc.ee), Tallinn University of Technology, Estonia

Paper submission:
All papers should be written in English, traditionally structured (including
abstract and keywords) and clearly identify their novel contributions that are
compared with relevant related work. Regular papers should not exceed 10 pages
on A4 paper using 10 or 12 points font. Short papers should not exceed 4 pages
on A4 paper using 10 or 12 points font. All papers should be submitted
electronically in pdf format not later than March 20, 2006. More details are
