Dr. Dobb's has finally run an introduction to RDF that I wrote about a year ago for them. I tried to emphasize its flexibility as a format for storing metadata about anything that can be identified with a URL. ("Whether your data is structured or unstructured, typed or untyped, centralized or distributed, RDF just may make the job of storing and using that data easier.") The editor there said that I could put a copy of the article on my own website a month after the cover date, so some may find it useful as an introduction for people who are geeky without being XML or SemWeb geeks. Thanks again to Dan Connolly and Eric Miller for reviewing it before I sent it in.
