(Event Driven Workflow Engine Development)

With a successful application, $93K is granted via the Foundation for
Research, Science & Technology (FRST) of New Zealand. Applications are
invited for a PhD fellowship in Information Sciences and Technology
(IIST), Massey University, New Zealand.
Supervisors/mentors: Dr Wang and Dr. Buckley
The successful applicant will work in a collaborative project, Event
Driven Workflow Engine, between Dr. Wang, IIST, Massey University
(Palmerston North) and Dr. Buckley, Excibir Ltd (Wellington, New
Zealand). The student will reside in Palmerston North and Wellington
depending on the phase of the research.
The ideal candidate should possess a first class degree(s) in Computer

Germany and France pay NZ local rate of tuition fees (NZ $1,599 per
year). Students from other countries will have to pay overseas student
fees (NZ $17,900 per year).
Applicants should contact Dr. Wang directly for further details about
the project. Applications can be made by emailing Dr. Wang your CV with
detail academic records, accompanied by a covering letter explaining why
you are interested in PhD study and what your expectations are from your
PhD study. Early application is encouraged. The final decision will be
made by Dr. Buckley and Dr. Wang
One bonus for this position is that you will likely receive a position
offer from Excibir Ltd. once you finish your PhD thesis. In other words,
if you want to work in industry in the future, your employment is
guaranteed after you successfully finish your PhD on time with a high
standard.
Excibir is a Java software development company established in March of
2002. Leaded by Dr. Buckley, the company has developed a web content
management system which is currently being marketed and performs
services around that content management solution.
We are also looking for Master and PhD students to work in the areas of
Knowledge Management, Mobile Applications, Computer Graphics, and
Modelling Complex Systems (e.g. financial market, traffic flow). Various
scholarships and financial assistances will be available for the

$10,000~20,000, PhD NZ $10,000~25,000 per annul)
