New in Jena 2.1
===============

In this release, there is a significant new feature: The OWL syntax checker
has been extended and speeded up and is in line with the latest work of the
WebOnt working group.

See the release notes for further details of this release.

Jar file changes
================

There is also a change to the jar files which will be needed by all
applications.  We have changed to use the Jakarta Commons Logging API;
previously we used log4j directly. This change is to make it easier to use
Jena in various environments where log4j is not available or is not the
preferred logging system.

The Jena download continues to ship with log4j, and the same log4j
configuration, for maximum compatibility with Jena 2.0.

Please ensure all the jar files in the lib/ directory are on the classpath.
(The log4j jar is optional but, when used, will preserve the format of
messages.)
