An idea that came up in conversation with the wife - apparently there are directories of orgs from which grants are available, maybe foundations/philanthropists. There are also plenty of charities around. too. But it seems likely that there will be sets of criteria for which charities are suitable - e.g. "medical research but no animal experiments". First pass this looks like a place where ontology + logic could be applied pretty directly. Does that sound reasonable? Has anything been done along these lines already?
