ESWS2004 - 10-12 May 2004, Crete, Greece - Call for Papers

Dear Colleagues,

ESWS2004 - The First European Semantic Web Symposium - will be held on 
10-12 May 2004 in Crete, Greece.

Please find attached the updated Call for Papers.

ESWS2004 welcomes the submission of original research and application 
papers dealing with all aspects of the
Semantic Web, particularly those relating to the subject areas indicated 
by the topics below. We particularly
encourage the submission of papers relating to industrial efforts and 
experiences with Semantic Web projects. We
also encourage theoretical, methodological, empirical and applications 
papers. The conference also encourages the
submission of posters as well as system demonstrations.

. (Semi-)automatic ontology learning and metadata generation (Including 
HLT and machine learning approaches)
. Ontology Management (creation, merging, linking, mediation and 
reconciliation)

composition)
. Semantic Web-based Knowledge Management
. Data Semantics
. Database Technologies for the Semantic Web
. Semantic Knowledge Portals
. Semantic Brokering
. Semantic Interoperability
. Semantic Web Mining
. Semantic Web Inference Schemes
. Semantic Web Trust, Privacy, Security and Intellectual Property Rights
. Semantic Web for e-Business and e-Learning
. Semantic Searching and Querying
. Visualization and modelling

Important dates:

Full Paper Submission: December 29, 2003
Software Demo Submission: January 31, 2004
Acceptance Notification (both papers and demos): February 18, 2004
Camera-Ready Papers due: March 25, 2004
