Arriving at the Clay Shirky vs. Semantic Web dust-up
late, but I can't resist: 
 
The Dewey Decimal System is one of the most productive
inventions of all time (though no one should mistake it
for a perfect, complete, final, or universal ontology of
bibliography, never mind the human universe).
