This year, ICTAI 2003 will be held at Sacramento California during
November 3-5, 2003. I would like to invite you to submit papers to  
ICTAI 2003. A CFP for the conference is attached. Please visit the

The deadline for online paper submission via the web site is June 15,

The annual IEEE International Conference on Tools with Artificial Intelligence (ICTAI) provides 
a major international forum where the creation and exchange of ideas relating to artificial 
intelligence are fostered among academia, industry, and government agencies. The conference 
facilitates the cross-fertilization of these ideas and promotes their transfer into practical 
tools for developing intelligent systems and pursuing artificial intelligence applications.  
ICTAI encompasses all the technical aspects of specifying, developing, and evaluating the 
theoretical underpinnings and applied mechanisms of AI tools.

We invite paper submissions that include but are not limited to the following topics:

This year's ICTAI includes the following special tracks. Please refer to the Special Tracks 
pages of the conference website for additional information or contact the track chair(s).

*  Automated Knowledge Agent for Spoken Language Technology, 
    Special Track Chair: Harry Chang.
*  Bioinformatics and Computational Biology, 
    Special Track Chairs: Tao Jiang and Guohui Lin.

Papers submitted to ICTAI 2003 must not have been previously published and must not be currently 
under consideration for publication elsewhere. The manuscript should not exceed 20 double-spaced, 
single-column pages, including figures and tables. The font size should be at least 10 point. 
All paper submissions will be handled electronically through our online web-based submission system 
at http://sierra.ecs.csus.edu/submit.html. The submission of your paper should be in either PDF or 
PS file format. If for some reason you cannot submit your paper through our web-based submission 
system, you can email your submission to Program Committee Chair at the address below. Make sure 
that you include, in your email, the title, author name(s) and full address (email and postal), 
contact author, an abstract and the full manuscript in PDF, or PS format.

It is required that all accepted papers be presented at ICTAI 2003 conference. A selection of 
the best papers in the conference will be published in a special issue of the International 
Journal on Tools with Artificial Intelligence.

Final paper due:		      September 1, 2003
