Ann: The Jena tutorial and Jena 1.4.0

The Jena team are pleased to announce the Jena tutorial.

The tutorial covers:
+ RDF and the Jena API
+ RDQL - a query language for RDF
+ The DAML API for DAML+OIL support in Jena

No semantic web knowledge is assumed. A Java programmer, new to the area,
can get up and running quickly by working through the tutorial.

This can be browsed on-line at
  http://www.hpl.hp.com/semweb/JenaTutorial.html

or downloaded as part of the latest Jena release 1.4.0 from
  http://www.hpl.hp.com/semweb/download.html

There will be an live version of the tutorial at the International Semantic
Web Conference in Sardinia in June. This is aimed more at the experienced
semantic web developer.

The new Jena 1.4.0 release also contains a few bug fixes not in Jena 1.3.2

Some of us will be at WWW2002 - we look forward to seeing some of you there.
