A number of positions are available within the IMG group at Manchester University, a large and highly successful team working on a range of related projects in the areas of the Semantic Web, Grid computing, ontologies, reasoning and advanced information management systems. In particular, a Research Associate/Research Fellow position is available on the WonderWeb project, the aim of which is to develop ontology infrastructure to support the development of the Semantic Web. The successful applicant will work on the development of reasoning systems (based on the highly successful FaCT system - see http://www.cs.man.ac.uk/~horrocks/FaCT/) to support ontology design, maintenance and deployment.
