I agree with Dan regarding the hackiness of the WKL, but GETing the
homepage may not be an acceptable answer, for some of the reasons
that Massimo is alluding to.
   
I suggested a solution to this on www-talk [1], and then wrote a
proposal [2] (which has not yet been submitted) which also starts to
do the high-level analysis. Comments welcome.
