I wrote a note on adding RDF to XHTML at
http://infomesh.net/swnotes/rdfinxhtml.html
It outlines three methods:-
1. Just add it in without it validating
2. Write an XHTML Modularization Family for it
3. Use a UWIMP form of HyperRDF
