Google calendar coming?

A heads-vaguely-upwards: it seems there are rumours that Google are
planning some kind of calendar service - apparently they're actively
crawling iCal data. What sprang to mind given Gmail etc is something
like Semaview's Sherpa Calendar [1], although it looks as if that may
now be inactive, I'm getting ominous 404s.

Whatever the gossip, Jeremy Zawodny has a nice list of his own desires
for a calendar service (along with links to Google rumours) [2]. May
be handy for RDFCalendar use cases.
