W3C's XHTML QA plan

The Test Suites column of the XHTML 1.0 and XHTML 1.1 rows in 
The Matrix of W3C specifications:


point to:

and [2] says:

The XHTML and HTML 4.01 are not ready yet. We're still in 
the process of organizing it.

What are the W3C's plans for [2]?

Is the W3C expecting to do any QA-related work with XHTML Basic?
If so, what are the plans?
