FYI - I just looked at the web sites for the Holiday Inn Express and Royal County. The Royal County looks nice and is adjacent to the Oracle Retail Center (Andrew said there is shopping and eating). However, he also indicated there may be some building work during october. Rate: 109 (normally) he thinks we could get 98.50 $176.85) The Holiday Inn Express: http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/ex/1/en/hd/reard?irs=null Is near the River. Breakfast is included. Rate: 68 ($122,09). 0.5miles from downtown, Taxi from Reading Train Station approx 5 (GBP) I've stayed at these in the US and found them very nice. This looks like the best place, for the money.
