Here are some facts
ABC Company sends 200 FedEx overnight packages per week. On average 7% of the packages are late. FedEx guarantees on time delivery. In this case, a refund is owed on 14 packages (7% of 200). Take 14 packages times $17 (cost to send package) and you come up with $238. So, FedEx owes $238 in refunds to ABC Company. Now companies specialists like myself produces a report that tell me how many packages ABC is owed a credit on (14) and also the total amount of refund owed ($238) this takes 2-5 minutes. Then Recovery Specialists simply sends requested refund of $238and they credit the account, this only takes 30 minutes. The Recover Specialist bills ABC for $119 (50% of the recovered money).

Without our proprietary software it simply takes more time than it's worth. If they did it for themselves they would have to do it manually. They can only process 5 air bills at a time on the Fed Ex or UPS websites, and then they automatically get logged off. If you had to verify 300 air bills it would take a tremendous amount of time, which costs money. So you have to ask yourself, would you spend $300 to collect $300? These companies wouldn't either.
