Free internet

Internet should not only be royalty free, but also free of restrictions in technology use. All standards should be free to be used by everyone. If not  the internet could be held hostage by a company or companies.
Patents should only be used to prevent  misuse and should be in the hands of a non-profit standards organization and not companies after a profit.
