patent policy

Dear Sir or Madam,

I respectfully ask that you reconsider
your position on "fee-based standards"
for the world wide web.  I sincerely
believe this to be an extremely bad idea
that could - in the long run - harm all
users of the web by decreasing their
range of access choices. Indeed it's
possible that range could eventually
become exactly _one_ choice.
