Hi,

I am the CEO of a company working on free software and promoting
conformance with W3C internet standards. For the moment.

I wrote you to say that I consider your RAND patenting system to be
incredibly absurd.

Remember the GIF®(TM) Damocles-style effect ? Do you want to reproduce
it for every "standard" you create ?

Do you want to produce more exclusion than ever with such a policy ? WWW
was created to unite people, not to break them between those who can
afford to pay the patents and thoses who cannot.

If you want to produce standards that noone will use, go ahead in that
direction.

What a shame.
