Patent policy

I fear that the move include non-free components in any standards will
serve to marginalize those standards and eventually force the development
of alternative, free standards. Before these are developed, we will see a
return the chaotic state of incompatibilities and competing features that
were common not long ago.

I strongly urge you to reconsider this retrogressive step.
