MS attempt to kill Open Source projects

Sneaking this "RAND" proposal into the W3C is merely an attempt to kill
open source compatibility with web standards.

Microsoft wants the W3C stamp of approval on it so it can absolve itself
of illegally leveraging it's monopoly: let the W3C leverage Microsoft's
monopoly for it.

This is just another tactic by Microsoft to stop Open Source from
competing on the desktop.

Standards must remain unencumbered and royalty free. If Microsoft wants
to make proprietary standards, they can do so on their own: don't give
them the W3C blessing!

Is the standards consortium blind to this anti-competitve tactic, or is
this really the consortiums desire?
