Hello,

	I would like to take this opportunity to object to the creation
of WWW standards which contain technologies that are patented.

	The WWW is medium we may all use to communicate. The WWW and the 
Internet are based on open standards (TCP/IP, WWW, FTP etc) which have
worked considerably well in defining this medium. Therefore we should not 
now change this medium into the "Tower of Babel" by introducing patented 
technologies in W3C standards.

	Should any company with a petented technology wish to make their
technology a standard then they are entitled to try to make it so, but
such a standard should in no way be endorsed by W3C as a WWW standard.
