Re: Demo P3P IE UE locally?

George,

Yes, it is feasible to demonstrate P3P from IE6 (View->Privacy Report) on that
local website.

Create a simple one-page web site and name it something like
'p3ptest.html' (the page doesn't need any content, but you'll probably
want to at least give it a title so you know when it is rendered in the
browser). Save the new site and the 'w3c' and 'privacy' folders in
c:\Inetpub\wwwroot. In your IE6 address bar, type
'http://localhost/p3ptest.html.' This will bring up the one-page web site
you created. If you have the reference file and policy files placed
properly in the 'w3c' and 'privacy' folders, all you have to do is view
the privacy report normally.

Regards,

Martin Keane

Subject: Demo P3P IE UE locally?

Hi there,
I need to make a demo of P3P from an offline laptop. I have IIS running
and my site's folder has everything needed, like w3c folder and p3p.xml
validated by the W3C Validator etc.
Is it feasible to demonstrate P3P from IE6 (View->Privacy Report) on that
local website? (I tried it -same files with corrected paths - on the
"live" site; no problem...)
Thank you,
George Vernardos
